Loved It!!

Image
Once again I am laughing so hard I snort to the next minute crying. I loved this book so much! Sawyer (the groomsman) is running away from a spectacle he created to the town of Canoodle. Fallon is there to take care of her ailing grandfather and remodel the family's rental cabins. They had a blind date prior to this that did not go so well, that's putting it mildly. Hilarity and all the emotions ensue from there. I loved the relationship between Jaz and Fallon. They are the epitome of best friends. Jaz is downright hilarious and the fact that Fallon tells her everything just helps to add fuel to the fire. The parallels between Sully and Sawyer pulled me into the story. Sully was one of my favorite characters, I just love grumpy old men. The relationship between Sawyer and Sully is amazing given they barely know each other to begin with.  Fallon and Sawyer are a great couple. I found myself gravitating more towards the side characters at times only because it was suc...

Now Out!

He’s dangerous. He’s violent. He’s everything I should stay away from.   Forbidden Deviant Games, an all-new compelling dark romance prequel set in the Sick Boys Series from USA Today bestselling author Lucy Smoke is live now!   He’s dangerous. He’s violent. He’s everything I should stay away from.   Viks stormed into my life and he wrecked it.   I know bad men. I know what they think. I know how they act. So trust me when I say, that of all the bad men in Eastpoint, I  know  Viks is the worst of them all.   I tried to be good. I tried to stay away. He kept pulling me back in. Once a wicked man, always a wicked man. *This is a complete prequel novel that serves as a precursor to the Sick Boys series. You do NOT have to read the series to understand this book. You CAN read this as a completely separate standalone*   Grab you copy today! Read FREE in Kindle Unlimited Amazon: ...

Superbly cute!

Image
The Romance Rehearsal was so incredibly cute and hot all mixed together.  Maven and Anthony first meet during a summer theater program and have somewhat of a summer "fling". They don't meet again until 12 years later when they try to rekindle that romance while being met with obstacles they have to overcome.  I loved Maven and Anthony! They are an adorable couple that have the best chemistry. I loved how not only those two characters are brought to life but also the side characters. I found myself begging to know more about Thea and even Will.  It definitely hits the 5/5 ⭐️ mark for me, if I could give 10 it would be an 11. The spice was amazing, just enough to not overwhelm the plot but still utterly amazing!

That ending, WOW!

I JUST finished Like Grim Death by K.V. Rose. This book blew my mind. I got literal chills. It was so good. I didn't want it to end, which is probably why it took me so long to read. I am just blown away by the twist 🤯 This will be yet another Unsaints book that will leave me with a book hangover. Ella and Maverick have always driven me a little nutty, this book is no exception. Ella's immaturity is so blatant when she is constantly hounding Maverick over Sid. I get it, I do, but at a certain point if there's no trust whatsoever then get out. She is beyond codependent of Maverick and even admits that she is with him partly because of what he offers her. "He loves me. I live here. I don’t work. He doesn’t care. He kills for me." Sid and Lucifer are still by far my most favorite fu(k#d up couple. They fight so much but this book shows how much they love each other and them actually opening up and being vulnerable with each other. Granted Luce says quite...

Brother's Best Friend

Image
Tysin by Brooke O'Brien was so good!  It will take you on such an amazing emotional rollercoaster. I don't always read prequels but I did in this case and if you do anything read the prequel Sins of a Rebel. It makes it so much easier to understand the dynamic between Tysin and Kyla. On top of that it emotionally broke me so of course you should get emotionally wrecked too 😁 Tysin and Kyla have such a history to over come. He hurt her beyond words and continues to hurt her when she joins the tour. I'm not going to lie at the beginning I was so mad at Tysin for the way he treated Kyla. He makes out like their history means nothing. In a way Kyla believes the same but in the way that she thinks she meant nothing to him.  Kyla also has her relationship with her fiancé Canon that she has to maintain while out on the tour. Plus contending with her residual feelings for Tysin and being in such close proximity to him. She has to work through her feelings f...

Fantastic enemies to Lovers trope

Image
Just finished Brix by Brooke O'Brian. Brix is the epitome of the enemies to lovers trope and I loved it. He is just the right kind of a-hole. He completely knows how to push Ivy's buttons and in turn Ivy knows just how to upset Brix. On the flip side he is able to show Ivy his sweet and caring side. "I want to open up to her, tell her why I’ve been so closed off and cold. I want to take the risk and hope she’ll be there for me through this. As much as I want to make her mine, I know I don’t deserve her." Ivy is strong and knows what she wants. I do wish she made Brix grovel a bit more for how he treated her in high school. "I hate that he’s pushing me away and how easily I find myself back in this place, disliking how he makes me feel embarrassed and rejected." I really love enemies to Lovers tropes and this book fits the bill perfectly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶

These Thorn Kisses

Image
These Thorn Kisses by Saffron A. Kent is a five out of five for me.  I was captivated by the characters and their pursuit to motivate each other. Conrad gives Wyn the gift of acceptance, something she is lacking in her town and home. "It doesn’t matter what the world wants or says. What your parents think. All that matters is what you want. All that matters is what you love, what makes you feel alive." I even appreciated Conrad trying to push Wyn away, curb her "crush". And I love even more Wyn not accepting it. “Yes,” I whisper. “I am. I’m trouble. I’m bad. But only for you.”“Only for me.” The dynamic between Conrad and his ex was interesting and infuriating. You can tell her motivations to begin with were horrible, she didn't want Conrad, she wanted his future. All she cared about was him going pro and her parents/town's approval. When push came to shove she was really the one who failed him. Which is why it was so frustrating watching Wyn star...

Great couple for the end of the series

Image
I finished my ARC for Touring For Love by Kristin Macqueen.  I absolutely loved this book. I smiled through the whole thing it was so cute. Quinn and Casey are fantastic together even though (as with all the couples) they are opposites. He's outgoing and she more wants to stay out of the spotlight.  Just like the other Operation Riot series books I wish it were longer, but this one especially I was sad at the end we didn't get more of an update or future with them. Which makes me sad the series is over. Overall though I thought it was great, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice was pretty minimal but what there was was really good. 🌶🌶🌶🌶. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A Gorgeous Villain

Image
A Gorgeous Villain by Saffron A. Kent was so good! I absolutely loved Callie! While she may be overly hopeful at the goodness in the world at the beginning she grows a backbone eventually. Where she would have backed down from Reed before she builds up the strength to throw it right back at him instead.  “You think that I’m going to get scared like I did two years ago, don’t you? You think I’m going to do your bidding. So I’m here to tell you something: I’m not. I’m not the same girl anymore. I’m not naïve or innocent or stupid. You know why? Because when I was almost sixteen, I met a villain in the woods. He was beautiful and gorgeous and like an idiot, I fell in love with him. I believed every word he said to me. I believed every touch and every smile and every look. Until I realized that everything out of his mouth was a lie and his hands were dirty. So I escaped. I got out of his evil clutches. Unscathed. And I can do it again. So you should really rethink your stra...

My Darling Arrow

Image
Finished My Darling Arrow by @thesaffronkent.  I really loved so many things about it, but there were a few that bothered me to be honest.  Salem tends to come off as a slightly whiney child sometimes and others she knows what she wants and stands up for it. Given the life she's had and the constant loneliness she feels it's understandable.  "They tell me that I’m amazing and I think I’m going to cry because no one has ever said that I’m good at soccer. No one has ever said that I’m good at anything actually." BUT, big but here, her utter obsession with Arrow is downright unhealthy. I'm all here for some fictional toxic relationships but the level of Salem thinking Arrow basically sets the sun is a whole other level. "He can stab me with a knife and I’ll be lying on the ground, dying, drawing little hearts in blood." When Salem finally calls Arrow out on his bs I practically clapped. Calling him and a-hole when he's clearly be...
