These Thorn Kisses

These Thorn Kisses by Saffron A. Kent is a five out of five for me.

I was captivated by the characters and their pursuit to motivate each other. Conrad gives Wyn the gift of acceptance, something she is lacking in her town and home.

"It doesn’t matter what the world wants or says. What your parents think. All that matters is what you want. All that matters is what you love, what makes you feel alive."

I even appreciated Conrad trying to push Wyn away, curb her "crush". And I love even more Wyn not accepting it.

“Yes,” I whisper. “I am. I’m trouble. I’m bad. But only for you.”“Only for me.”

The dynamic between Conrad and his ex was interesting and infuriating. You can tell her motivations to begin with were horrible, she didn't want Conrad, she wanted his future. All she cared about was him going pro and her parents/town's approval. When push came to shove she was really the one who failed him. Which is why it was so frustrating watching Wyn start to do the same to Conrad, fall into the trap of what her parents wanted rather than be by his side.

"How did I think that it was okay to be my parents’ puppet?"

There were times Wyn came off a little desperate and times where Conrad was overly cruel but it doesn't diminish the overall relationship between the two.

The spice was perfect! I never saw that coming from Conrad and oh it was so beyond what I could even imagine. He is quite the dirty talker and I am here for it.

Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ and ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ! The spice was just right too, not overtaking the plot and not too little.
