Scared the crap out of me and I liked it
Wow. Just wow. Unhinged Cain by Brooklyn Cross blew my mind.
If you ever wanted into the mind of a serial unaliver this book is for you. This book reminds me of turning off the basement lights and running as fast as you can trying to out run the unaliver except instead of being safe in the light the ki11<r catches you...and you like it.
Kirby feels stuck in her life. Her boyfriend is an a-hole, her mother is controlling her whole life, and her father barely contacts her. She wants to make a change in her life but doesn't know what that is or how.
Cain is the pure definition of serial unaliver. He stalks his prey and makes ki11in& an art form, literally he carves art on his victims. Cain sees Kirby's eyes one night and knows he has to have her for his collection. As he stalks her though it becomes something different than his usual ki11$.
I was honestly shocked at the amount of times I laughed during the book. The humor was so good.
The connection between Cain and Abel was great, it was as close to love as either one could get. Cain reigns in Abel and keeps them from getting caught. They don't necessarily balance each other out but have a close dynamic that they are able to work together without ki11in& each other.
I honestly didn't know how this was going to end. You think it can only go one of so many ways but it turns into the unexpected. 5 ⭐️ all around, spice I would say is a 4 🌶.
