Snort laugh out loud
I just finished Co-Wrecker by Meghan Quinn and as usual her books are so funny.
(Trying out new picture set ups)
I really liked it, it have the perfect amount of steam and humor to keep you interested and entertained. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 🌶🌶🌶🌶
So Sadie is this closed off troubled woman who has had a lot of trauma in her life. She keeps close to her friend's circle and doesn't let outsiders in. That is until she is tasked with training Andrew at an ice cream parlor. Andrew is an over the top uber nerd.
He is attending college in the Fall so he is just working for the summer, but hopes for a longer relationshipwith Sadie. Given Sadie's trust issues this is difficult for her. The humor during all of this is top notch (I legitimately snort laughed at parts).
Some gems:
When Andrew and Sadie have sex for the first time:
Hold the fuck back. Grandma, think of Grandma. Lipstick on the teeth, curlers in her hair until noon. Sadie’s thighs slap against mine. Grandma! Wrinkly and old, dentures in a drinking cup.
Sadie and Andrew have a "moment" in the store room:
His douche is rubbing off on me. Oh hell, his douche sounds like I’m saying his vagina cleanser is soaking into my pores. Just eliminate this whole rabbit trail from your memory. Thanks.
Sadie says something nerdy to Andrew:
Garble, garble, gook. That’s all my brain can process. This is what my tongue is trying to say: jakdhef, hnnnnng.
I really liked how the story line pulled you in and you become invested in these characters. This is also another one, so far, that has got me in the feels. I fully recommend this one, as well as all Meghan Quinn books if you are looking for allll the humor mixed with spice.
